SGR Trains from Nairobi to Mombasa

There are three trains from Nairobi to Mombasa – Two Express trains and One Inter-County train. The Inter-County train (Train N2) departs every morning at 8 am and stops at the seven Inter-County stations along the SGR line. These stations are: Athi River, Emali, Kibwezi, Mtito Andei, Voi, Miasenyi and Mariakani. The two Express trains (Train E2 and Train E4) leave at 3 pm (afternoon) and 10 pm (night) respectively.

BRIEF TRAVEL ITINERARY

  • DAY 1. Catch the Madaraka Express SGR city train at station. The train leaves at 8:20 am so you need to leave hotel at most 6.00 am to avoid any inconveniences. Arrive in Mombasa between 2.30pm.  You will be received by a 0ur representative to take you to your hotel. 
  • DAY 2: Free day at the  hotel as you sip & dip, as you enjoy the hotels and the beaches

Over night stay at the hotel

Tours can be included for you at an extra cost.

  • DAY 3: After breakfast, you will be transferred to Miritini Train Station to catch the Madaraka express train Enjoy your trip back to Nairobi.
